Who Created EcoTuesday?

Oren Jaffe
Co-Founder
Oren Jaffe is a experienced Sustainability Executive who specializes in helping clients create, develop, and implement their corporate sustainability, environmental management, and/or ethical supply chain programs. Oren recently worked for Bureau Veritas (BV) Consumer Products Services where he managed the social compliance division which helped Fortune 1000 clients understand the business/brand opportunities associated with having a transparent and sustainable supply chain. Oren also was on the corporate sustainability development team at BV.

Oren's career includes an extensive business development, marketing, leadership, client development, event planning, and advertising (online and outdoor) background. He has worked for professional sports teams, technology firms in the Silicon Valley, and even started an outdoor advertising company that sold blimps, hot air balloons, and airplane banners. Oren has a Bachelor of Science in Marketing and Sports Marketing from the University of Oregon, and an MBA from the University of San Francisco.


Nikki Martinez
Co-Founder
In June of 2008, Nikki earned an MBA at the Presidio School of Management in San Francisco -- one of the world’s leading educational institutions focusing on sustainable management. Recently, she has worked in a strategic capacity with Williams-Sonoma on a project to decrease waste in their stores, for Burning Man LLC on its five-year sustainability plan, and is currently a marketing consultant with Morrison & Foerster, one of the country’s largest law firms, helping it establish its new Cleantech Practice.

Nikki’s previous work includes The American Film Institute, InterActive Corp, The Japan Times Newspaper, and Wells Fargo. She co-created a local non-profit organization and is heavily involved in many community-based social networks. Nikki earned a bachelor’s degree in journalism from the University of Oregon.

Nikki lives in San Francisco with her fiancé, Aaron.
