We're having a great time bringing you speakers from all areas of sustainability. Last month in San Francisco, there was almost a line out the door to talk with Bonnie Nixon-Gardinier (the Global Program Manager for Hewlitt Packard) after her presentation!
Here are the reports from two of the EcoTuesday events that took place in June:
From Nora in Minneapolis:
It was a lively group with an abundance of questions. The event was particularly interesting as the bicycle community here in MN is exponentially growing due to soaring gas prices. Many of the Minneapolis' pioneering bike shops are now profitable and thriving. Next month, participants are encouraged to bring a book that has moved them towards sustainability. In each person's 30 second intro blurb they will plug their book, and as the mingle begins we will do a book swap.
From Jennifer in Los Angeles:
Our event was a success. Amazing flow, amazing speaker, amazing group, amazing venue. All went well. Our speaker was Scott Badenoch, leader of Green Business Networking, another green business networking event here in L.A. I was honored to have him speak, and he did an amazing job. He spoke about easy ways to decrease your eco footprint. Everyone loved it!
